Availability. In all but a few rare exceptions, the movie you want is always available. Most DVD by mail services have hundreds of copies of individual Movie Dpwnload (Http://Socialrus.Com
) titles on hand. Instant movie streaming services like Netflix have no limitation on how many subscribers watch individual movie titles. If you rent movies online, your favorites are almost always available.
For even more convenience, there's also the option of creating a wish list, or queue, to keep the movies coming. Once a movie is returned, another from the list is sent out as they become available. Email confirmation is sent both ways as well. Of course, as with any business or service, there may be downsides. Unless you're a new member, some of the new releases may be harder to come by. Most of the availability is dependent on the returns from other members. Also, unlike video stores, you don't get to view movies right away. Most online movie rentals are delivered within 1-3 business days, and depending on availability, viewing the top movies on your wish list may not happen as soon as you would like. DVDs can also get easily scratched or damaged from continual handling through the mail.
How does Blockbuster work? At Blockbuster, users have two main options to rent movies. The first way is to rent a Movie Online to have the DVD shipped to you. Usually, the DVD will arrive within two business days of placing your order through their website. Rental plans allow you to rent 1, 2 or 3 movies at any one time for a flat monthly fee. These fees are $8.99, $13.99 and $16.99. There are no late fees and as soon as you return your movies, you can rent more.
Exactly like the movies in stores, which can be on VHS, CDs or DVDs, movies you get from online can be different in format as well. We offer movies in three most common versions - DVD, DivX and PDA.
For example, Blockbuster's rental by mail plan includes Blu-ray discs, but at Netflix, Blu-ray users have to pay extra. Other than that, the fee structures and prices are the same. Unlike Blockbuster, Netflix don't offer game rentals.
DVD rental kiosks - You may have seen one of those DVD rental kiosks at your local supermarket offering a DVD for $1. Even though the selection is nowhere near that of your local video store or your online service, they do add newer movies every week. Finding a couple or more good movies for $1 each is a pretty awesome deal even if the selection is smaller. In fact, renting 12 DVDs in a month would cost you a little over $14 or $15 with taxes included. That beats the $20 for one month of online rentals, AND it beats the $16 you would spend on 3 New Release DVDs in one night at your local video store! One other great facet of this option is that being located in a supermarket, it is a nice segue to the next step in creating your inexpensive family night.
When you rent online movies, you'll receive the movie as it is available. It is more convenient than having to keep going back to your local store to see if your movie is available.
